➤The betrayal by his disciple, Judas
✔Eggs are traditionally dyed, for this, Holy Thursday is also called "Red Thursday".
✔At Patmos island, at the main square, you can witness the representation of the "Secret Supper";the abbot of the Monastery of Agios Ioannis Theologos, washes the feet of 12 monks who play the role of the disciples.

🌸H Μεγάλη Πέμπτη είναι αφιερωμένη σε 4 γεγονότα
➤Το Μυστικό Δείπνο, το δείπνο του Ιησού με τους 12 Αποστόλους.
➤Τον Ιερό Νιπτήρα, το πλύσιμο των ποδιών των Αποστόλων από τον Ιησού.
➤Την Υπερφυή Προσευχή, η προσευχή του Ιησού στον Πατέρα του λίγο πριν τη σύλληψή του.
➤Την προδοσία από το μαθητή του, Ιούδα
✔Παραδοσιακά βάφονται τα αβγά, γι αυτό και η Μεγάλη Πέμπτη λέγεται και "Κόκκινη Πέμπτη".
✔Στην Πάτμο, στην κεντρική πλατεία, γίνεται αναπαράσταση του «Μυστικού Δείπνου», με τον ηγούμενο της Μονής του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Θεολόγου να πλένει τα πόδια 12 μοναχών που υποδύονται τους 12 Αποστόλους.
