☑Ouzo is a mixture of alcohol, aromatic substances, with anise predominant, and water. ☑Anise contains chemicals, called terpenes, which give the characteristic aroma but also anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
We prefer drinking it watered with ice, making it white, like milk, since the essential oils become insoluble, giving this cloudy, white color.
“Ouzaki” (often referred in the diminutive) is served in a tubular, tall glass, so that you can add as much water as you want; usually together with seafood little dishes called “mezedes”.
Its prerequisites are: sea, clinking glasses with good friends (“geia mas"!),and “kefi” i.e. an euphoria feeling. Recalls Greek summer holidays and like all alcoholic beverages, it is consumed in moderation🆘!
Ούζο: το καλοκαιρινό ελληνικό ποτό
Aν δεν είναι το καλοκαίρι η εποχή του ούζου, τότε ποια μπορεί να είναι;
Ακούς ούζο και σου θυμίζει θάλασσα, τσούγκρισμα ποτηριών, καλή παρέα και κέφι. Θυμίζει Ελλάδα και καλοκαιρινές διακοπές.
☑Το ούζο είναι μίγμα αλκοόλης, αρωματικών ουσιών, με κυρίαρχο το γλυκάνισο, και νερού. ☑Στο γλυκάνισο, περιέχονται χημικές ουσίες, τα τερπένια, που προσδίδουν αυτό το χαρακτηριστικό άρωμα αλλά και αντιφλεγμονώδεις και αντιοξειδωτικές ιδιότητες.
Εμείς το πίνουμε νερωμένο με πάγο κάνοντάς το κατάλευκο σαν γάλα, εφόσον τα αιθέρια έλαια γίνονται αδιάλυτα, δίνοντας αυτό το θολό, λευκό χρώμα.
Το ουζάκι πίνεται σε σωληνοειδές, ψηλό ποτήρι για να μπορείς να προσθέσεις όσο νερό θέλεις, συνήθως με θαλασσινούς μεζέδες. Όπως όλα τα αλκοολούχα ποτά και αυτό πίνεται με μέτρο🆘!!
